Rudely awakened, discordant alarms pierce my serenity.
Hungover with sleep, I debate; I give in… Society, responsibility duty.
Slowly I move…..

Sydney Buses carry me aloft, through the din of early morning.
I drift as in a dream. Wandering this well-trodden path.
The Daintree looming, above and around me, encompassing inviting.
This national treasure, natural and untouched, wild and overgrown, reaching out grabbing hold.

Rapids flowing crystal; clear as glass. Tourists annoying, irritating invading.
Life abundant, birds chitter chattering calling me back to reality;
Weary I go about my routine.

A huddle of women, sipping tea. Old yet full of life, chittering chattering like birds all a national treasure.

This was the first bit of fallmal wrighting, that I did for, Associate Professor Michael Griffith. ACU Stratfield.

It was inspired by a two-week trip that I took to The Daintree rainforest far in north Queensland.
